Beautiful Setups. Professional Standards. Balloonology® Is Now BAPIA Insured.
A quiet behind-the-scenes milestone — and why it matters to the hotels, venues and guests who trust us.

The finished room might be the part you see on Instagram, but there's a lot that goes on behind the scenes to make sure Balloonology operates professionally inside the beautiful properties we're trusted to work in.
So here's a small milestone I'm genuinely proud of: Balloonology® is now an insured member of BAPIA — The Balloon and Party Industry Alliance.
It isn't the most glamorous announcement I'll ever write. There's no reveal, no reaction video, no suite full of balloons at the end of it. But it's one of those steps that quietly signals a business growing up.
Most of what customers see is the exciting part. The balloons. The room transformation. The surprise. The moment a door opens and someone realises what's been planned for them.
What sits behind that is everything else: responsible working practices, consideration for the property we're in, safe installation methods, tidy handovers, and appropriate professional protection in place before we ever set foot in a room.
As we continue working inside hotels, premium properties, venues and corporate environments, that side of things matters just as much as how beautiful the finished installation looks.
Practically, being an insured BAPIA member means we carry full public liability cover through the industry's own alliance, and we work to industry-standard safety and installation practice — risk-assessed setups, appropriate materials and methods, and care taken with the spaces and furnishings around us.
For hotels and venues, that's the part I think is most reassuring. We know what we're being trusted with. You're allowing a supplier into valuable guest rooms and public spaces, often at short notice, sometimes while guests are on site. Cover in place means that if something were ever to go wrong, there's a proper professional route to resolving it rather than an awkward conversation and a supplier hoping for the best.
It also means your team can ask us for what they need — insurance details, method of working, how we protect surfaces, how we remove everything afterwards — and get a straight answer.
To be clear about what it isn't: BAPIA membership doesn't mean we're endorsed or approved by any particular hotel, and it doesn't override a property's own supplier policies, access rules or requirements. Every hotel sets its own terms, and we always work within them. Being insured simply means we arrive properly prepared to meet them.
For customers, it's much simpler. When you book Balloonology to create a surprise inside a hotel room, you're trusting us with a moment that matters — often one you've been planning for months. You should feel confident that the business behind it takes the professional side as seriously as the creative side.
That's really all this is. Another step in continuing to professionalise, raise our standards, and make sure the care we put into the design is matched by the care we put into everything nobody sees.
"Beautiful setups are the easy part to show. Professional standards are the part that makes them possible."
