I Spend My Life in Hotels. So I Had an Idea…
Introducing Hotel UGC & Content Creation — hotels can now work with Saph even when there isn't a single balloon involved.

If you added up the hours, I think I've probably spent more time inside hotel rooms than most people spend in their own living rooms.
Not as a guest, most of the time. As the person quietly arriving with boxes, meeting a concierge at a service lift, being let into a room a few hours before someone walks in and realises their partner planned something.
Birthdays. Anniversaries. Proposals. Surprise stays. Balloonology has been built inside hotels.
And because of that, I've seen a lot. Suites with views that make you stop mid-sentence. Bathrooms that genuinely deserve their own moment. Rooms with the perfect wall for a reveal. Little details someone in that hotel clearly thought very carefully about — lighting, a turndown ritual, a window seat, the way a corridor opens into a room.
At the same time, we've naturally been documenting all of it. Behind-the-scenes content. Room reveals. Hotel diaries. The stuff people message us about afterwards asking, "sorry, where is that?"
Which led to a thought I couldn't quite let go of.
What if hotels could work with me even when balloons aren't involved at all?
So that's what we're launching. A dedicated Hotel UGC & Content Creation offering, where hotels work directly with me to create aesthetic, personality-led, social-first content about their property.
I want to be really clear about one thing: this is completely separate from our decoration services. A hotel doesn't need balloons. A hotel doesn't need a celebration setup. There doesn't need to be a booking, a guest or an occasion. It can simply be about showcasing your best rooms, suites and experiences — and generating genuine interest in them. You can see how it works on the Hotel UGC & Content Creation page.
Here's the thinking behind it.
Traditional hotel marketing is very good at showing people what a room looks like. Beautiful photography, perfect angles, empty bed, no one in sight. It's polished, and it works — but it tells you what a room looks like rather than what it feels like to stay there.
Social-first content can do the other thing. It can make someone imagine themselves in it. The walk down the corridor. The first look. The view when the curtains open. That small pause when someone realises the room is nicer than they expected.
The way I'd describe my approach is: beautiful hotel visuals, plus personality, plus behind-the-scenes storytelling, plus a genuine guest perspective.
Rather than filming an empty room, I'd rather take you through it. Arriving at the property. Seeing the room for the first time. Finding the details. Using the amenities. Getting ready in it. And then honestly explaining why this particular room or suite is worth booking.
Think along the lines of: "Come with me to one of London's most beautiful hotel suites…" Or, "Would I book this room for an anniversary?" Or, "Spend the night with me at…" Or, "If you're planning her birthday in London, this is a room I'd consider…"
I also think I come at hotel content from a slightly unusual angle, and I say that carefully.
I haven't decided to become a UGC creator and started looking for hotels. I've spent years working inside hotels through Balloonology, and I've come to understand them through a very specific lens — birthdays, anniversaries, romantic stays, proposals and special occasions.
So I notice the things an occasion-led guest actually cares about. Which rooms create the biggest reveal. Views worth paying more for. Bathrooms that impress. Layouts that work when two people are getting ready. Romantic details. Photogenic interiors. Suites that feel genuinely special rather than just larger. Amenities that lift a whole stay. And ultimately, the thing that makes someone think: I want to book this.
That's the part I find exciting for hotels.
A property might have an incredible suite that simply isn't getting the attention it deserves online. Instead of only photographing it, we can turn that room into a story — an experience people want to be part of.
There's also potential for this to work both ways.
Balloonology already speaks to an audience interested in celebrations, hotels, date nights and experiences. As our Hotel Diaries and Occasion Diaries content grows, we're building a community of people actively looking for somewhere to stay, celebrate and experience something.
So this isn't only about a hotel receiving beautiful content for its own channels — although that's very much part of it. It's also an opportunity to become part of the wider content world I'm building around hotels and occasions.
I'll be honest about where we are: this is a new offering, and we're at the beginning of it. What I can offer is years of genuine experience inside hotels, an eye trained on occasions, and content made with real care rather than a template.
And for hotels who do want to position themselves as a birthday, anniversary or proposal destination, our celebration styling is there as an additional creative possibility — a room styled beautifully, captured properly. But that's entirely optional and completely separate. Hotel UGC stands on its own.
If you're part of a hotel marketing, social or PR team and any of this sounds like something you'd like to explore, I'd genuinely love to talk. You can request the portfolio or start a conversation on the Hotel UGC page.
"I've spent years making hotel rooms feel like a moment. This is simply the part where I start telling the story too."
