Guest Experience Intelligence

The honest story behind the Celebration Guide — what it actually does, and how it builds your plan.

Let's be honest about what this is.

When you click through to the Celebration Guide, it looks like a free concierge planner. And in one sense, it is — you answer a few questions and get back a tailored guide of hotels, restaurants, cocktail bars, photo spots and little ideas for the occasion.

But calling it a 'free celebration planner' only tells half the story. What's actually happening behind the scenes is something I'm quietly building called Guest Experience Intelligence.

Here's how it works, in human terms. You tell the tool where you're celebrating, what the occasion is, the kind of mood you want, and roughly what budget feels right. That information is passed to an AI model — but the model isn't browsing the open internet and guessing. It's working from a curated knowledge base I've started building: places, neighbourhoods and experiences I'd actually recommend, written with the same taste I'd use for a Balloonology guest.

The AI then acts like a fast, organised assistant. It reads your answers, matches them against that curated list, and writes you a coherent plan — a headline, a short narrative, and a handful of recommendations grouped into categories like where to stay, where to eat, where to drink, what to do, and where to take the photo.

Is it perfect? Not always. I can't personally vouch for every single recommendation in every guide, because the tool is generating suggestions based on the knowledge I've fed it and the details you've given it. But it's a genuinely strong starting point — much better than scrolling through generic lists or starting from a blank Google search.

The bigger vision is what excites me. Over time, Guest Experience Intelligence becomes more than a planner. It becomes the layer that helps Balloonology understand the guest before we ever style a room — so the balloon surprise, the restaurant recommendation, the hotel choice and the little touches all feel like they came from the same person. Right now, it's a helpful guide. Eventually, it's the brain behind a fully connected celebration experience.

If you try it, I'd genuinely love your feedback. The more I hear about what worked, what missed, and what you'd want next, the better this becomes.

"A little AI, a lot of taste, and the start of something much more personal."
